UN mission to Libya: Food packages distributed to over 15,000 displaced people.

Tripoli, 20.11.2016(Lana) United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has announced distributing humanitarian aid to 15,000 displaced people within a week. UNSMIL reported that World Food Programme, and Libyan Relief and Humanitarian Aide have distributed during the second week of this month various food stuff to over 15,000 displaced people. In a statement the Presidential Council called for an immediate halt of clashes and urged all parties to exercise self restraint. It welcomed the effort being mounted by the sheikhs and notables, as well as the mayors in the region to pacify the city. The council announced that it had instructed the Minister of Interior to launch an investigation into the clashes, and the Health Minister to follow up the treatment of the injured.
