Tripoli, 17 January 2017(Lana) The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Al Sidiq Al Kabir met on Tuesday the Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Peroni. Tripoli, 17 January 2017(Lana) The British Ambassador Peter Millett discussed with members the House of Representatives in Tubrok on Tuesday the latest of the political agreement and the consequences of non-compliance of some parties on the outcomes of the agreement. Al Breiga, 17 January 2017(Lana) A tanker carrying 631000 barrels of crude left Al Breiga terminal on Saturday for the United Kingdom, in the first oil shipment to the United Kingdom since 2011. The crude loading from the terminal was halted for 10 days following defective loading pipe on the floating platform which required maintenance work that apparently was not carried out since 2008. Tripoli, 17 January 2017(Lana) The Al Hasawana-Sahl Al Jafara Man-made River network source has announced that water supplies to the capital Tripoli were expected to be resumed on Wednesday after the eastern track has been refilled. The flow is due to be increased gradually until the normal level is achieved for all cities and towns supplied by the network, the source told the Libyan news agency, adding that engineers and operation teams were doing their best to secure the return of supply as soon as they can. Tripoli, 15 January 2017(Lana) The Special Al Radaa 'Deterrent' Force has stormed the hideouts of criminality in Tripoli on Friday and Saturday and arrested a number of persons of African nationalities who are engaged in marketing of Al cohol and narcotics. The force said on its website it had decided to tackle the state of insecurity prevailing in the area for years and in response to appeals by local residents who said they feared these gangs on their children.
