Ejdabya, 15 May 2017 (Lana) Ejdabya patrol apprehends lorries loaded with quantity of smuggled copper. Commander of Ejdabya Patrols Capt. Salah Abdulhafiz said in statement after tips indicating that lorries coming from Benghazi in their westward loaded with smuggled cooper, police patrols were ordered on the high way north of the city, after verifying the direction of the lorries. National Grid Loses 750 Megawatts Because of Fuel Shortage, Company Says.

Tripoli, 14 May 2017(Lana) The National Oil Company said the national grid has lost 750 megawatts of its capacity as a result of fuel shortage used in generation units. In a statement, a copy of which was obtained by the Libyan news agency, the Company said it resorted to load shedding to secure and stabilize the network. It appealed to authorities to intervene to secure a steady supply of fuel for generation stations, specially at the time temperatures are so high and power demand on the increase.
