Pashagha Meets UNICEF Coordinator.

Tripoli, 11 March 2019(Lana) The GNA Interior Minister Fathi Pashagha has met with the Coordinator of the international children organisation UNICEF Abdul Rahman Al Ghandour and the delegation accompanying him at the Ministry's headquarters here. According to the Interior Ministry's SMS page, the Minister highlighted the assistance that UNICEF offered to the Ministry by staging training programs and establishing centres in different directorates and Police stations. GNA Interior Ministry Announces Establishment of Special Department to Protect Elections.

Tripoli, 11 March 2019(Lana) The GNA Interior Ministry has announced a special department has been established within the Ministry to protect the forthcoming elections. The role of the department, according to officials, is to secure the whole process including voting stations, transfer of ballot boxes and equipment to be used in the electoral process, as well as coordination with other bodies regarding the securing process. Libyan Embassy to Conduct Visits to Libyan Prisoners in Italy.

Rome, 10 March 2019(Lana) The Libyan Embassy in Rome has said it was taking arrangements to start orgainzing visits to Libyan inmates in Italian prisons, on charges of engaging in trafficking offences or what's become known as illegal migration. The Embassy appealed on Saturday, through its SMS page, to relatives of prisoners to liaise with the consular section of the concerned embassy.
