Tripoli, 16 September 2019(Lana) Today September 16 falls the anniversary of martyrdom of Sheikh Omar Mukhtar, the legendary champion of struggle against the Italian occupation of Libya, who was captured and later hanged by the Italian colonial rulers on this date in 1931. Tripoli, 16 September 2019(Lana) The UN High Commission for Refugees UNHCR has called for greater 'international solidarity' with refugees stranded in Libya. 'We urge the international community to show more generosity for distribution of refugees, UNHCR representative in Libya Jean Paul Cavalier was quoted by the French News Agency 'France Press' as saying.
