GNC Official: State Subsidy to Remain in Place for Drugs, Water, Public Sanitation, Home Electricity and Street Lighting.

Tripoli, 26 May 2105(Lana) The Chairman of GNC Finance Committee Khalid Al Meshri has reaffirmed that the state would continue to subsidize some public and private utilities. Al Meshri said lifting subsidy would include food, petrol and diesel except for power generation, and subsidy would remain in place for drugs, water, public sanitation, home electricity and street lighting. Tripoli, 26 May 2105(Lana) Journalists of the Libyan news agency mourn the death of their colleague Abdul Rahman Zemi, who died on Tuesday after a short illness, he was 53. Zomi was known for his assiduity, sincerity, consideration and contribution to the journalistic work. Lana staff stand with the family and friends of the deceased at this difficult time, and Pray to Allah to bestow His Mercy upon his soul. AU Will not Supervise Burundi Elections Before National Reconciliation.

Medan, 26 May 2015(Lana) The African Union Political Affairs Commissioner Aisha Abdullah has said that the AU would not send observers to the Burundi elections so long as parties are reluctant to sit to the negotiation table, to seek an end to violence in the country. Wi Max Services Restored to Sirte After More Than Two Months.

Sirte, 26 May 2105(Lana) After a cut off of more than two months, sources at the Sirte Local Council have confirmed that Wi Max services have been restored to the city. LTT and Libya Phone Co. Engineers have managed to fix the technical breakdown at the main service provider, and to install a new track link with the Sirte telephone exchange with Tripoli, said Mohamed Al Amayel Head of Information at the City's Council.
