Oslo, 28 May 2105(Lana) A demonstration was held in front of the Norwegian parliament on Wednesday to demand the legislative body recognize the state of Palestine. The non-government organizations, which called the demonstration, asserted the right of Palestinians to a state of their own, and called for an end to the Israeli occupation and crimes against the Palestinian people. Benghazi, 28 May 2105(Lana) The Benghazi-based Bernique newspaper on Wednesday marked the passage of a year since its former editor Muftah Abu Zeid was murdered. An event was organized by colleagues of Abu Zeid attended by a host of journalists, during which tributes were paid to the late journalist and documentaries screened. A book and photo exhibition was held, and the National Theatre troupe performed a piece entitled 'Al Ganas'. Italy and Algeria Renew Commitment to Libya's Unity, Sovereignty and Independence.

Rome, 28 May 2105(Lana) Italy and Algeria have said they were still committed to Libya's unity, sovereignty and independence. In a joint statement, following a visit by Algeria's Foreign Minister Abdul Malik Salal to Italy, the two sides pledged to support the dialogue track sponsored by the UN, in a bid to form a national unity government that can hold the country together, and fight terrorism.
