Iraq announces the export of the first shipment of cancer drugs to Libya.

Tripoli, April 27, 2025 (LANA) - The Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Tripoli, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, announced that Iraq has exported its first shipment of cancer-treatment medications to Libya.

Al-Sahhaf explained in a post published by the Iraqi Embassy in Tripoli on its Facebook page on Sunday that the medications are manufactured locally according to the latest international standards.

He added that this step is a continuation of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two brotherly countries, under the auspices of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and the supervision of the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi.

Al-Sahhaf indicated that the Iraqi Embassy in Tripoli is receiving these steps with increased attention and follow-up to build stronger bonds of fraternal relations between Baghdad and Tripoli. He considered this step a national achievement that confirms the success of plans to localize the pharmaceutical industry and support our brothers.
