Tripoli, 13 August 2024 (Lana): Chairman of the High National Election Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, met yesterday with the German Ambassador to Libya, Ralph Tarraf, about the Commission’s preparation for conducting municipal council elections.

The Ambassador expressed his country’s appreciation for the commission’s efforts to conduct the election in accordance with the highest standards in the world, reiterating its readiness to provide technical and advisory support to strengthen the commission’s preparations to implement the expected entitlements.

This visit comes within the framework of the international community’s support for a democratic path in Libya and reviews the level of the commission's preparation to conduct the municipal council elections.
