The UNSMIL said on its Twitter that the graduation of the first cohort took place after spending a year in training in order to acquire communication, advocacy, and leadership skills, in addition to increasing their knowledge of elections, human rights, and the legal rights of women in Libya.

"The program aims to upskill young women to be able to engage in elections, the political process, and their communities as leaders," UNSMIL added.
