Benghazi, May 20, 2024 (Lana) Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, met yesterday in Benghazi with Belgassem Haftar.

“We discussed the reconstruction process in Derna and other flood-affected communities in the east. We had an exchange on economic opportunities and challenges in Libya and the importance of transparent revenue sharing,” Berndt said in a tweet by the Embassy.
