Batili discusses with the French ambassador to Libya ways to address the Libyan political crisis
Pulbished on:Tripoli, April 8, 2024 (LANA) - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Abdullah Batili, discussed in his meeting yesterday, Sunday, in Tripoli, with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Maharaj, the latest political and security developments in the country, and the prospects for reviving the political process, which is mired in stagnation.
The Special Representative said, according to the mission’s media office, that the meeting touched on the situation in neighboring countries and their potential effects on Libya and the importance of consensus among the Libyan political parties to avoid further delay in reaching a political settlement, as well as the importance of regional and international partners in supporting dialogue between Libyans.
