Al-Shahoubi calls on French companies to return and work in the Libyan market and contribute to development and reconstruction projects

Tripoli, April 1, 2024 (ALA) - The Minister of Transportation in the National Unity Government, “Mohamed Salem Al-Shahoubi,” called on French companies to return and work in the Libyan market and contribute to development and reconstruction projects, especially in various transportation projects and to contribute to the transit road project from Libya to Africa.

     During his meeting with the French Ambassador, Mustafa Maharaj, today, Monday, in his office, Al-Shahoubi stressed the depth of historical cooperation and the importance of continuing to consolidate these good relations between the two countries in all fields, especially cooperation with French companies in the field of aviation, air transport, maintenance, and training.

    Al-Shahoubi also called on French companies to cooperate in helping Libya with the problem of traffic congestion in major cities and to seek help from the French experience in some Maghreb countries.

    For his part, Ambassador Maharaj praised Libya's participation in the French-Libyan Forum held in Paris - France in December 2023 and the positive results that helped develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of transportation and air transport.
