Tripoli, February 19, 2024 (Lana), designated Minister of Interior Major General, Imad Trabelsi, discussed with EU Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, security cooperation between the two sides on illegal migration.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the meeting discussed prospects for security cooperation between the ministry and the EU delegation on the illegal migration file and some technical issues related to the EU’s support for the voluntary deportation of migrants to their countries, in addition to supporting the ministry’s efforts to secure the southern borders of Libya.
