Al-Menfi receives French President's Special Envoy.

Tripoli, February 11, 2024 (Lana): The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, received yesterday at the council’s headquarters the French President’s Special Envoy, Paul Soler, in the presence of Ambassador Mostafa Mihraje.

Soler stressed France’s commitment to the need for a continuing stability state in Libya and its support for Al-Menfi in all his steps to address political impasse and hold the elections in a suitable environment in which all Libyans are participating, according to the council’s communication office.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in all areas, in addition to France’s support for the High Finance Committee to achieve disclosure and transparency standards, rationalization of spending, and fairness in the use of financial resources to implement development projects.

For his part, Al-Menfi affirmed France’s pivotal role in the Libyan issue and its unlimited support for the council’s work in order to hold free, fair, and transparent elections as soon as possible.
