During his meeting with the US Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, in Washington, Shukri stressed the necessity of stopping foreign interference in Libya, and the withdrawal of all foreign forces, foreign fighters, and mercenaries from it within a specific time frame, in order to ensure and confirm the sovereignty and stability of Libya, according to the official spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed. For his part, Ambassador Norland appreciated, according to the spokesman, the pivotal role played by Cairo and its continuing efforts to support the settlement process in Libya, stressing the existing and ongoing cooperation between Egypt and the United States in order to find effective ways to deal with the Libyan crisis with the aim of establishing stability in all areas. throughout Libya in a sustainable manner, in accordance with the relevant references.
