Batili discusses with Al-Banani efforts aimed at bringing together the Libyan parties to find a political settlement.

Tripoli, December 3, 2023 (LANA) - The UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, discussed today, Sunday, with the head of the Justice and Construction Party, Imad Al-Banani, the efforts of the United Nations aimed at bringing the main Libyan parties together in order to find a political settlement that will lead the country to hold elections.

Batelli said in his post on the (X) platform, “I stressed during the meeting the importance of following a comprehensive approach that allows all parties in Libya to participate in a constructive dialogue.”

The UN envoy continued that Al-Banani assured him of the support and commitment of his party and its national allies to the process facilitated by the United Nations aimed at achieving stability in Libya.
