Libyan academic Ibrahim Abu Khazam died.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, November 30, 2023 (LANA) - Libyan academic Ibrahim Misbah Abu Khazam, professor of constitutional law at Libyan universities and former Minister of Higher Education, died today, Thursday, at the age of 72 years.
Sources close to the deceased, said that he died today, Thursday, in a German sanatorium after suffering from a disease.
Abu Khazam held many leadership positions, including Assistant Secretary of the General People’s Congress between the years (1986-1990), Minister of Higher Education from (1990-1992), and Libyan Ambassador to Iraq during the period from 1995-2003.
The deceased also held the position of President of Nasser International University (currently Zaytona University) from 2004-2011, and Dean of the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2008-2011. He also wrote many books on constitutional and international law and political thought, and published research in the same fields.
Dr. Ibrahim Abu Khazam had left Libya to reside in Egypt in 2011.
