Tripoli, November 26, 2023 (Lana) The Libyan National Forces Initiative expressed its concern and condemnation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s demand from his country’s parliament to extend the existence of Turkish forces in Libya.
The Initiative affirmed on its Facebook page yesterday to exit foreign forces mercenaries from Libya, led by the Russian and Turkish forces, whatever the cost, stressing the accountability of everyone who brought and helped these forces.
On Friday, the Turkish Presidency referred a memorandum to the Parliament to extend the duties of Turkish forces in Libya for 24 months, starting on January 2nd and ending in January 2026.
