The head of the Red Cross mission in Libya briefs Al-Koni about the mission’s efforts since the Derna disaster

Tripoli, September 27, 2023 (LANA) - The representative of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, met yesterday, Tuesday, with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation in Libya, Yan Farid, who briefed Al-Koni on the mission’s efforts since the Derna disaster occurred, in partnership with the Crescent. Libyan Red, in coordination with the Crisis Management Committee assigned by the Presidential Council, which contributed to overcoming the difficulties in coordination with the relevant authorities.

    During the meeting, Al-Koni praised the rapid response of the International Red Cross Mission and its local partner, the Libyan Red Crescent Society, and their ability to perform the mission assigned to them due to their long experience in the field of humanitarian work.

     In the same context, he also praised the efforts of all international organizations and institutions for supporting Libyan efforts in confronting the disaster.
