Red Cross warns that the floods that struck Derna led to the transfer of explosive remnants of war.

   Tripoli, September 14, 2023 (LANA) - The Red Cross warned that the recent floods that struck the city of Derna led to the transfer of explosive remnants of war from their previous locations to areas throughout the flooded areas.

     The Red Cross said in a statement published today on its page that the danger of encountering explosive remnants of war is widespread throughout the city, and explosive remnants of war are still alive and dangerous.

      The statement called on citizens and rescuers to take caution and be aware of this danger to reduce further loss of life, stressing not to approach or touch anything, but rather mark the area to warn others and contact the authorities.
