Tripoli, August 11, 2023  (LANA) - The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libya Trade Network affiliated to the Ministry of Economy, Muhammad Darwish, discussed with the German Deputy Ambassador to Libya for Economic Affairs, Stephen Crosby, trade relations and a networking mechanism with German institutions specialized in developing the trade sector.

The Ministry of Economy and Trade stated that the meeting, which was attended by the President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Muhammad Al-Raedh, dealt with discussing trade relations between the private sectors in the two countries and networking with German institutions specialized in implementing and developing the country's trade system.

According to the ministry, the attendees followed a presentation of the activity of the Libya Trade Network and the ongoing projects to develop the trade system according to the ministry's digital transformation plan.

  The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening trade relations and exchanging experiences and expertise in developing the commercial system electronically, so that the competent institutions can follow up export and import procedures, the movement of commercial activities, prices of services and goods, monitor abuses and reduce commercial fraud in the local market with the participation of all relevant authorities.
