Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Oil Corporation are coordinating to sign agreements with international oil companies

Tripoli, April 13, 2023 (LANA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Mangoush, discussed with the President of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat bin Qadara, on Wednesday, aspects of cooperation and coordination between the ministry and the Corporation to activate agreements with international oil companies.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that the meeting, which was held at the ministry's headquarters, comes within the framework of contributing to supporting the National Oil Corporation's plan to increase oil and gas production and stability in a way that serves the interest of the Libyan people.

The National Oil Corporation had announced a new strategic plan aimed at increasing production to two million barrels per day within three to five years, and contracted with the American consulting firm "Kearney" to develop this plan.
