 Tripoli, 19 March 2023 (Lana) Parliament-assigned head of Libyan Government Fathi Pashagha met Sunday in Sirte with a number of members of the High Council of State.

Pashagh's Communication Office said the meeting discussed the new UN roadmap proposed by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Abdoulaye Bathily, to hold elections this year.

The meeting discussed political developments in Libya and a consensus on the constitutional basis between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State to bring the country to simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections by the end of this year.
