Manama 16 March 2023 (Lana) The Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives "HoR", Abdul-Hadi Al-Saghir, participated in the conclusion of the 146th meeting of the Standing Committee on Peace and Security of the International Parliamentary Union "IPU" held in Bahrain.

The HoR stated on its SMS page that the meeting discussed the draft resolution on cybercrime and the new risks to global security, which was submitted to the General Assembly for approval, and the resolution draft included several items, including the condemnation of the General Assembly of the IPU for all forms of cybercrime, stressing the need to combat these acts.

The meeting also included the recommendations to parliaments to establish relevant institutions and bodies such as national centers for cyber security, computer emergency response teams, computer security incident response teams and security operations.
