Al-Dabaiba issues instructions to address issue of retired members of the military institution

 Tripoli, 25 January, 2023 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity has issued instructions to address the situation of retired military personnel, in accordance with Cabinet Decision No. (441) of 2013. This came during the broad meeting held by the Head of Government, Tuesday, with the Chief of the General Staff, the Director of Military Accounts and Public Administrations at the Ministry of Defense, the Director of the Financial Department at the Social Security Fund, and the Director of the Ministry's Financial Resources Department, according to the Prime Minister's Media Office report on its official Facebook account.  

The meeting discussed the outcome of work of the committee formed by the Prime Minister to develop solutions to the deficit in military retirement benefits, which have accumulated for more than 20 years, due to the failure to settle the financial and legal conditions of members of the military establishment.
