Tripoli, December 01, 2022 (LANA) - The President of the Audit Bureau, "Khaled Shakshak", discussed today, Thursday, with the President of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Tunisia, "Najeeb Al-Katari", the possibility of benefiting from the competencies of the two agencies in the areas of oversight work.

The meeting, which was held at the court's headquarters in the capital, Tunis, dealt with the participation of the two bodies in research projects and oversight activities that include providing consultations, holding seminars and conferences on contemporary professional topics, and supporting technical teams and Libyan audit committees in the Tunisian arena with consultations, information and necessary work guides, which would Increasing the effectiveness of the oversight functions of the Libyan institutions in the State of Tunisia.

According to what was published by the State Audit Bureau on its official Facebook page, the two presidents agreed to prepare a joint memorandum of understanding between the two agencies, including what was discussed during the meeting.

 Shakshak appreciated the role of the Tunisian Court of Accounts and its contribution in many areas related to oversight work within the framework of its membership in the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the General Administration of Control over the Sovereign Sector, the Director of the General Administration of Control of the Service Sector, the Director of the General Administration of Contract Control, and a number of officials at the Tunisian Court of Accounts.
