Abu Al-Gheit calls on the active parties in Libya to respond to the UN efforts to preserve the country's unity and stability.

 Cairo, 1 December 2022 (Lana) The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, affirmed in a phone call with the UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoullaye Bathily, support for the efforts of the UN mission to end the Libyan crisis.

 According to a statement issued by the Arab League, Bathily reviewed the contacts he is making with the concerned parties in Libya, and at the regional level, in an effort to complete the electoral entitlement based on an agreed constitutional basis, along with the implementation of all agreements concluded between the Libyan parties.

For his part, Aboul Gheit stressed the support of the League of Arab States for the efforts of the UN envoy, and all efforts to end the crisis through a Libyan-Libyan solution, and appealed to the actors in Libya to respond to these efforts in order to preserve the country's unity, sovereignty and stability.
