Tripoli, November 28, 2022 (LANA) - The head of the Audit Bureau, "Khaled Shakshak," stressed the need to remove all obstacles facing the Urban Planning Authority, because of its effective role in reducing random construction and developing urban areas.

This came during the expanded meeting held by "Shakshak" today, Monday, with the Minister of Housing and Construction, "Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi," in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Planning Authority, and the competent departments of the Bureau, in order to evaluate the performance of the technical committee concerned with studying and presenting plans, and the functioning of the Authority.

The meeting reviewed the Bureau's observations on the Urban Planning Authority, and touched on the short plan prepared by the Authority to address the existing urban plans.

It was agreed during the meeting on the need to set controls and standards by the Urban Planning Authority as a mechanism for the committee's work to ensure the achievement of the legally set goals represented in revising the plans in line with the state's interest.
