Tripoli, September 21, 2022 (LANA) - Minister of Justice, Halima Ibrahim, discussed today, Tuesday, with the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya, Georgette Gagnon, the file of national reconciliation, the efforts made, and the role of the Ministry of Justice in this regard, and what the United Nations can offer in this regard. The matter is in line with national laws and legislation and international treaties.

The meeting, which was held at the Ministry's office in Tripoli, also reviewed the activities and technical support programs that the United Nations Mission in Libya could contribute to implementing, as part of the Ministry of Justice's plan to develop the justice system and the judicial system.

The Minister of Justice emphasized the continuation and strengthening of joint cooperation with United Nations organizations through the Ministry of Justice represented in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.
