Forum of Libyan Local Government and International Cooperation kicks off within the framework of partnership and international cooperation.

 Tunis, 3 December 2021 (Lana) The Forum of Libyan Local Government and International Cooperation kicked off in Tunis on Friday, as part of partnership and international cooperation in the development and support of local administrations and municipalities in Libya.

 According to sources of the Ministry of Local Government, the GNU Minister of Local Government Badreddine Toumi, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Local Administration Adel Sadiq, and a number of international organizations attended the opening of the forum, which will last until Dec. 4

 The forum aims to draw up a road map for international cooperation, to reach clear and well-defined cooperation mechanisms, identify targeted projects and learn more about the opportunities available and the objectives of the Ministry of Local Government with international partner organizations.

   Over the course of two days, the forum will discuss several main topics, including presenting the role of the Ministry of Local Government in supporting devolution, the development of municipalities and problems with regard to international cooperation, and presenting achievements and targets in relation to the development of municipalities and organizational units of a local nature, as well as decentralization, and evaluation of what has been achieved by international organizations.
