Cairo, 10 April 2016(Lana) The two Deputy to the President of House
of Representatives Mohamed Shu'aib and Hmaid Huma have called for
convening a session of the House to grant the National Accord
Government confidence before April 18.
In a press conference they held in Cairo in the presence of Foreign
Minister Mohamed Al Dayeri, the Deputies called for a 'decisive'
session to be held by the House of Representatives to grant
confidence to NAG in a date no later than April 18.
House Second Deputy President Hmaid Huma disclosed that
consultations were being conducted among some members of the House to
pave the way for convening the meeting to grant confidence to the
government.
If they proved successful a meeting could be convened on Thursday
or Saturday or alternatively Monday next week.
As for reports of establishment of a State Council in Tobruk, Huma
said 'the country could not afford more division.. we call on all to
reason, and I am not concerned there are attempts to address the
situation.'
This came after the US Envoy to Libya Jonathan Winer disclosed
that the House of Representatives would vote on Monday on confidence
for the Government and on the constitution as well.
