Tripoli, 21.12.2015(Lana) Tripoli Sector Coast Guard rescued
Monday 106 illegal immigrants including 7 women off Janzour, who were
on board a boat that was about to sink due to water leakage.
Navy spokesman, Col Ayub Qassem told Lana that two immigrants
were found dead and 10 unaccounted for because they jumped off when
they spotted members of the coast guard according to accounts of
their mates.
Qassem said the immigrants holding various African nationalities and
were apprehended 12 miles north west Tripoli off Janzour Steam
station.
he said the immigrants were subjected to examinations by
international medical staff and that two immigrants in bad conditions
were transferred to hospital.
