West Prepares for Intervention in Libya.

London, 13 December 2015(Lana) The British Daily Telegraph
yesterday published a report, citing sources at the UK Defense and
Feign Ministries on Britain's preparation with collaboration with
European allies for a possible military intervention in Libya to
confront growing threats by terrorist groups.
The paper quoted British official sources as saying London was
deeply concerned by the growing influence of the terror groups in
Libya, including those linked to Da'esh, with the threat they posed
to Europe from the southern Mediterranean coast.
The intervention could start with a military support and
equipment to the anticipated government in Libya, the paper added.
Meanwhile, the British Ambassador to Libya Peter Mallet said in
an interview with Sky News Arab channel his country 'was prepared to
intervene militarily to combat terrorism in Libya once the government
of national unity demanded it to do so.'
The British Armed Forces Minister Bennie Mordon said her country
was closely monitoring the terrorist groups in Libya, saying they
threatened the country, the neighboring states and the British
interests in the region.
However, the French Prime Minister Manuel Vals has earlier called
for joint international effort to combat terrorism in Libya. France
also conducted reconnaissance flights over Libya, to assess the
threat of the terrorist groups there.
Italy is also working on a plan to provide military support for
Libya to confront terrorist groups and was seeking the support of
European allies once the Libyan new government has been formed.
