UN mission , asks for 165 million dollars to fund humanitarian aid in Libya.

Tripoli, 10.12.2015 - Lana - The UNSMIL , today Thursday , had asked
the international community , to provide 165 million dollars , for
humanitarian aid for the year 2016 , for more than 2.4 million
persons in Libya , and calling for a ceasefire for the aid to reach
its destinations.
UN coordinator for humanitarian affairs in Libya 'Ali Za'atari' , in
a statement today , said that the mission needs about 165 million
dollars to close the humanitarian gap , and to concentrate on the
people through the year 2016 , confirming that the mission didn't get
this small amount , considering what has been spent on arms , for
example.
He added , that the current crisis witnessed in Libya , it's expected
to escalate if the shooting didn't stop , and opening secure paths
for delivering the humanitarian aid.
The UN official , said that there are more than two million persons
who need humanitarian support , including the hungry , the sick , the
un-protected , the deprived of education and others.
For his part 'Ja'afar Husain' , representative of the world health
organization 'WHO' , pointed out that these aid basically are "the
main humanitarian assistances" , adding that 1.3 Libyans , most of
them are children and women , who need food because of poor nutrition
, basically due to the deterioration of purchase capability of the
Libyan citizen.
