UNSMIL Dismisses Reports of Entrusting Haftar With Restructuring Libya Army.

Tripoli, 9 December 2015(Lana) The UN Support Mission in Libya
has reaffirmed that the head of the mission Martin Kobler has never
entrusted Khalifa Haftar with restructuring the Libyan Army.
The reports in the media over entrusting Haftar with
restructuring the army were utterly unfounded, said Samir Ghatas, the
UNSMIL spokesman.
Kobler was reported by some media organs on Monday that he had
informed the President of the House of Representatives that Haftar
would chair a committee to be entrusted with the task of
restructuring the Libyan Army in accordance with specified rules and
would assisted in doing so with a number of Army officers.
