African Parliamentarians Endorse Proposals for Peace and Reconciliation in Libya.

Bissau, 8 December 2015(Lana) Speakers of African national
assemblies have approved a proposal for national peace and
reconciliation in Libya.
In a final communiqué following a meeting Guinea Bissau, the
African parliamentarians urged key players in the Libyan conflict to
positively engage in the national dialogue to promote a smooth
democratic transition in the country and preserve the country's unity
and sovereignty.
They denounced terror actions and called for an enforcement of
cooperation mechanisms to confront this plague.
The parliamentarians recommended that a short-term strategy be
employed to prevent terror attacks via information sharing, youth
engagement and promulgation of the culture of peace.
