Customs Authority confiscates expired medicine.

Tripoli, 15.11.2015(Lana) Media Office at Customs Authority
said the analysis made by Food and Drugs Control Authority Customs on
a sample of medicine shipment turned out to be not good for use.
The office said the shipment which is related to drugs used to
cure AIDS does not comply with the specifications and standards and
therefore classified as medical waste and it would be destroyed after
coordination with the relevant authorities.
The Media Office said the shipment arrived at Amitiga Airport
offered as an aid from World Health Organization to the national
Centre for Disease Control in Libya. It said countries so often
exploit the window of aid to send their medical waste to other
countries to avoid their destruction on their own countries to avoid
pollution.
