Sabrata, 09.11.2015(Lana) Statement of Sabrata Municipality
Council condemned the kidnapping of two Serbian embassy officials in
Libya as the ambassador and his accompanying delegation passed
through Sabrata.
The Municipal and Military Councils in Sabrata and Directorate of
National Security in the city held in a statement the relevant Libyan
authorities, the Serbian ambassador and his delegation the
responsible for not contacting and coordinating with the security
authorities in Sabrata to take the necessary measures to secure the
diplomatic delegation and ensure their travel to Ras Jadier crossing.
The statement said the Serbian ambassador convoy was subjected
to a traffic accident and two embassy staff were kidnapped a man and
a woman by unknown assailants. It said up to this minute no
information was available about their health nor their whereabouts.

informed about the accident they rushed to the site of the accident
and secured the Serbian ambassador and his delegation and assigned a
security patrol to escort them to Ras Jadier and now they are in
Tunisia.
The statement expressed surprise at this incident which comes at
the time the city of Sabrata is facing a vicious onslaught by Libyan
and international media rumoring terrorist camps and groups in the
city.
It said it cannot rule out that the incident is an intelligence

camps in Sabrata, which has been repeatedly denied to UNSMIL, EU and
to the media.
The statement of the council urged all Arab and international
media and those who cast doubt on these statement to visit the city
whenever they wanted.
