Administrative Control Body discusses mechanism to replace food subsidies with cash.

Tripoli, 09.11.2015(Lana) A meeting was convened Monday to discuss replacing food subsidies with cash. The meeting was attended by Chairman of Administrative Control Body, Nasser Hassan, head of GNC financial Committee, Saad Sharada, representatives for the NSG Government, Central Bank of Libya, Ministry of Economy, and members of the Committee on Replacing Food Subsides with Cash. The meeting discussed with details the mechanism to apply subsidy replacement with cash and economic and security measures accompanying the impmentation and ways to limit negative aspects that may appear when applying the project on the citizens. The meeting also focused on identifying the bodies to own and oversee the project and appeals mechanism and updating data from the public. It also discussed the extend that cash replacement of food subsidies will be in line with the prices of goods as well as the media programmes to sensitize the public about the new programme. =Lana=
