NOC kicks off second technical meetings for the sector for 2015.

Tripoli;09.11.2015(Lana) National Oil Corporation (NOC) kicked off the second technical meetings for the sector for 2015. The technical meetings are in line with the regular NOC follow up of oil and gas sector in reserve development, drilling operations, production, maintenance and projects. The second technical meeting for 2015 commenced with oil companies since November 1, 2015 with oil and gas Mellita company, and Akakous oil operations and Waha Oil Company. The meeting was attended by chairman of the administrative committee and head of relevant departments and several specialists at the company and representatives of the foreign partner, and head of departments at the General department for exploration and production at NOC. The meeting also reviewed projects and activities of the planning department, Drilling and mamd wells maintenance department at the company. They also discussed technical obstacles that prevented the implementation of some projects at the oil fields and ports. The meeting also included review of damages incurred to surface facilities and pipelines due to oil production stoppage because of the security situation in the first half of this year.
