GNC President asked UN Secretary General and president of the Security Council to clarify appointment of Leon as head of UAR Diplomatic Academy.

Tripoli, 05.01.2015(Lana) GNC President, Nuri Abusahmain asked UN Secretary General and president of the Security Council to clarify appointment of Leon as head of UAE Diplomatic Academy. He said the appointment of Leon as a partial and fair mediator who appeared to be linked to country that embroiled itself in the ongoing conflict in Libya . He said this is unprecedented . He said acceptance the proposals of this mediator amounts a disregard to the blood of the Libyan people and their sacrifices. Abusahmain said the appointment casts doubt in the credibility of presidency of Leon and in turn role of UNSMIL torpedoing the political track at this sensitive time. Abusahmain reminders that the GNC committed itself to political dialogue and the Libyan solution being the only option and dearth with the UN and it's representatives with responsibility, credibility and transparency. =Lana=
