UNSMIL expands the presidential Council of the NCG to 9 members.

Tripoli, 03.11.2015(Lana) UNSMIL decided to expand the geographical representation at the State Presidential Council of the National Consensus Government. UNSMIL decided to increase members of the presidential Council to 9 instead of 6. as provided for in the draft agreement. In statement Tuesday, UNSMIL said it expanded the Presidential Council after holding consultations with Libyan parties against the backdrop of increasing geographical representation for the eastern region and specifically Benghazi city. It explained that it would insert such changes in the text of the accord so that the presidential Council would comprise prime minister, and five deputies and three main ministers. The UN envoy to Libya, Bernardino Leon submitted October 11, the 6th version of the political accord to the dialogue teams who rejected it. =Lana=
