Libyan activists underscore their significant role in promoting peace and reconciliation.

Tripoli, 14.10.2015(Lana) UNSMIL Women Empowerment Dept hosted recently a meeting in Tunis that inlcuded several female Libyan activists from various regions to enable women consolidate peace and reconciliation. The meeting was sponsored by the Swiss government. The meeting is aimed at briefing the participants on the measures to follow the peace accord and role of women in building the best practices learned from the experience of other countries. The participants on their part underlined their important role in consolidating peace and reconciliation in Libya and overcome social and political disintegration. They put in place at the end of their meeting a work plan to be implemented at the local level. They underscored their commitment to dialogue as a sole solution to the current crisis in the country. =lana=
