Deputy Minister of Information holds broad meeting.

Tripoli, 11.10.2015(Lana) Deputy minister if information, Waleed Tanish held broad meeting to discuss financial and technical issues facing the press and media. They also discussed the role of NSG Ministry of Information in promoting the press and culture of reading. Emphases were laid on observing press ethics and shining away from things that may agitate public sentiments. They also agreed to coordinate with various ministries to facilitate press work. They also recommended that alternative should be explored for financing the press and looking after the new graduates. They also underscored the need to attend to school libraries and encourage the culture of reading. They also urged for revision of publications law and increase salaries of press and media employees. The meeting was attended by Body for Press Support and Promotion, Mahmud Abushima, Director of External Information Department, Jamal Zubia, Lana representative, editors of several public and private newspapers. =Lana=
