Price Stabilization Fund Says Flour Problem Persists.
Pulbished on:
Tripoli, 28 September 2015(Lana) The Director of the Price
Stabilization Fund Jamal Al Shibani has said flour problem was still
there, and there were no solutions in sight, noting that contracts
signed by the fund with flour importers could not meet demand.
In a press statement Al Shibani said, the fund's warehouses were
empty after the whole stock was distributed to bakeries all over the
country.
Bakeries, especially in the Tripoli area are witnessing shortage
in flour supply, which forced them to seek the commodity from other
sources, triggering a rise in bread prices to a double.
