UN condemns military escalation in Benghazi and calls for speedy finalization of Sukhirrat dialogue.

Tripoli, 20.09.2015(Lana) UNSMIL has strongly condemned the military escalation in Benghazi Saturday urging all parties to speed up finalization of the Libyan political dialogue and form a government of national unity. In a statement Sunday in Sukhirat, UNSMIL explained that the air attack is aimed at jeopardizing the continued efforts to end the conflict at a time that negotiations have reach a critical and final phase. The statement underlined that the only solution be through the current political accord and the political settlement that ensures the participation of all. UNSMIL called for immediate end of fighting in Benghazi and all of Libya, urging all parties to refrain from any escalation or counterattack and exercise great degree of self-constraint to give an opportunity for the success to the ongoing dialogue in Sukhirat. UNSMIL hopes, through the political dialogue which last round resumed a week ago, with the participation of all parties, to dialogue, reaching a final agreement to solve the Libyan crisis. =Lana=
