Pulbished on:
Al Sukheirat, 13 September 2015(Lana) The UN Special Envoy to
Libyan Bernardino Leon has said that the reconciliation track has
reached a consensual point, and the Mission would furnish the parties
with copies of the final draft later on Sunday.
Leon explained, at a press conference on the sidelines of the
Libyan talks here on Thursday, that the draft would have the full
support of the Libyan parties, and that the Parliament and the GNC
would ratify it at this round. They have put the interests of
homeland first, he said.
'This is a very important day for Libya and the Libyans because
their representatives have worked with a political will and with
open-mindedness and devotion to reach this agreement, Leon said,
adding that 'they have overcome all their differences.'
Leon reiterated, at the opening of the fresh round of talks on
Thursday, that there was a need for the crisis to be settled by
September 20.
