Tripoli, 13 September 2015(Lana) The UN Security Council has
extended the mandate of the Support Mission in Libya UNSMIL until 15
March 2016.
In a resolution it issued on Saturday, it called for an immediate
and unconditional ceasefire in Libya, stressing that there was no
military solution to the crisis there.

support to the effort being made by the Head of UNSMIL Bernardino
Leon.
The Council stated that by releasing this resolution it
encourages all members especially in the region to continue to spur
the parties in Libya to commit to talks to expeditiously reach
positive results.
It condemned the use of violence against civilians and state
institutions, and the continued escalation, voicing its concern over
the escalation of tension and displacement of civilians in South
