Central Committee for Election of Municipal Councils postpone election of Serte municipality mayor.

Tripoli, 31.08.2015(Lana) Central Committee for election of municipal councils postponed election of Serte municipality mayor, due to the extraordinary circumstances that prevented communication with members of the municpal council of the city. Media and Awarness office at the committee explained that the "The election of the mayor of Serte has been postponed due to circumstances outside the control of the Central Committee, represented in disruption of communications with members of the muncipal council in the city". It furhter stated that the relevant regulations for the election of the mayor necesstates communication with all members of the council, but the committee did not respond as it communicated with only 4 out of 7 members. It said this legal measure prevents the finalizing of the election of the mayor. Central Committee for election of municipal councils is trying with all possible means to communicate with the remaining members of the elected muncipal council in order to fix an appropriate date for the election of the mayor, it added. =Lana=
